Tweet This Property with Twitter Integration

An increasingly popular phenomenon, Twitter is really taking the social media world by storm. Having a social media presence, by way of a blog and Twitter account is an excellent way of connecting to your customer base and building up good relationships.

The majority of our customers who host websites with us will already know the importance of maintaining their company news/blog area. Google loves to see regularly updated website content, so it really helps your search engine position as well as selling your expertise to the public.

For the uninitiated, Twitter does the same thing, in smaller bite size chunks of 140 characters or less!

If you already have a Twitter account, you can add your Twitter username and password to your staff contact record and make use of the “Tweet This!” button on the property Marketing screen to broadcast the property to your Twitter followers.

It’s ideal for new instructions and price reductions and the system automatically creates a message for you to customise, including hashtags if appropriately configured in the Location admin screens.

Ben Harris, Social Media Consultant at housingdabble.co.uk, explains how this new service will help to give agents an edge over their competitors:

"When it comes to their company websites, most agents settle for a brochure style site which gives no opportunity for interaction - the new currency in the web 2.0 world.

The tools provided by PropertyADD play an important part in helping agents to get to grips with this approach and help them focus their effort on producing the kind of content that will interest their community and set them up as credible experts."

If you are yet to setup a Twitter account, you would be surprised to see how active your local customer base is, particularly in areas such as London, Brighton and Bristol. For more information on Twitter, take a look at the Twitter website.
